"April 24 is not only a mourning day, but a day of memory that should be kept also by specific actions for punishment of the guilty and establishment of justice, that is necessary not only for us, the Armenians. I am sure the number of countries, having recognized the Genocide, will increase with time", NKR President Arkady Ghoukasyan said during the events in Stepanakert dedicated to the 92nd anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

NKR President said that "it is important for Turkey itself to recognize the Genocide" and "the recognition is necessary for the Turkish people, first of all". "We hope that Turkey will become a civilized country. This recognition is necessary not only for the Armenian people but for the entire world. The evil should be punished, otherwise, it may recur", A. Ghoukasyan said. He noted that the Armenian people should be solidary. We must be ready for any challenges. We must be strong, united and solidary. I do not think

that Armenia should always have hostile relations with its neighbours, Azerbaijan and Turkey. The Genocide recognition is important for us to look at the future calmly", A. Ghoukassyan said.
