SECURITY & FOREIGN AFFAIRS: BRITISH & AMERICAN DELEGATION LED BY VICE-SPEAKER OF BRITISH PARLIAMENT HOUSE OF LORDS HAD A VISIT IN THE NKR

The delegation of American and British intelligenzia, headed by Vice- Speaker of the House of Lords of the Parliament of Great Britain, baroness Caroline Cox, is in NKR.

As ArmInfo correspondent in Stepanakert informs, the members of the delegation met the Chairman of NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghoulian, NKR Foreign Minister Georgi Petrosian, the Head of Artsakh eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Church, archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, visited the rehabilitation center named after Caroline Cox, "Kazanchetsots" church in Shushi. During their visit to the office of the Union of the relatives of fallen soldiers of NKR the Chairman of the Union Galina Arustamyan handled the baroness a medal of "Mother's Vow" organization. During the meetings baroness Cox welcomed the regular Presidential Election held in Nagorno-Karabakh, expressing satisfaction with that they were open and fair. At the same time, during his meeting with the members of the delegation the Speaker of NKR Parliament Ashot Goulian presented the political-economic situation in the Republic, spoke about the state construction process in NKR. He answered the questions of those present, which particularly touched upon the ways of developing the Republic's agricultural sector, the investment policy, and legislation. To note, this was baroness Caroline Cox's 63rd visit to NKR, who has rendered different humanitarian aid to the Nagorno-Karabakh since the times of military operations in the zone of Karabakh conflict.
