“As a result of all-national free, fair elections, stable political institutions, legal authorities – state administration and local self-governmental – have been formed in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic,” Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told Armenpress, referring to different statements voiced about the parliamentary elections in Artsakh.

Nalbandian said that like previous elections, the May 23 parliamentary elections were positively assessed by independent experts from different countries. The elections witness about the commitment of the authorities and people to democracy, rule of law, Edward Nalbandian said.

”The recognition of the inviolable right of the NKR people to determine own fate has a central place in the suggestions of the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs on the basis of which the negotiations are being held.

The international community must be more interested in dealing with the NKR people-elected authorities. With these elections, the citizens of the NKR once again proved their determination to live free and independent lives,” Edward Nalbandian said.
