On August 21 Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory letter to Catholicos of all Armenians Garegin II in connection with the 60th anniversary of the Supreme Patriarch's birthday.
The letter runs as follows:
"Your Holiness!
Please, accept my warmest congratulations in connection with the jubilee, 60th anniversary of Your birthday.
Your patriotic activities directed to the reinforcement of the Holly Armenian Apostolic Church, strengthening faith in the society, cementing the state-church relationships, deepening interchurch cooperation, is always remembered and highly appreciated in Artsakh.
I am confident that in the future You will continue taking an active part in realizing our national goals and aspirations, further solidifying the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora ties.
Let me once again congratulate You and wish robust health and all the best for the glory of Armenian nation and the bright future of our church and state".
