On 31 August President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the village of Mets Shen in the Martakert region and partook at a number of solemn events.
The Head of the State was present at the opening of the reconstructed school, newly-built church, house of celebrations, village administration building and macaroni production enterprise.
The President qualified all these buildings as pivotal components of the village's life and underlined that they would give a new impetus to the development of Mets Shen.
Bako Sahakyan expressed gratitude to philanthropists Karlen and Armen Yesayans for constant assistance to the native village noting that the state pays special attention to cooperation with the philanthropists in the revival of Artsakh villages.
Head of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, vice-speaker of the National Assembly Arthur Tovmasyan, members of the NKR and RA parliaments and cabinets of ministers, prosecutor general of the Republic of Armenia Aghvan Hovsepyan, guests from Armenia and Diaspora partook at the events.
