2012 New Year Congratulatory Address of Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan
Time has come to bid farewell to the year of 2011 and meet the New Year with hope and faith that it will be successful for our families and our Motherland. It is indeed a family holiday, a peculiar occasion that unites all of us, our near and far relatives and friends, a holiday full of infinite love and warmth.
Inspired by this very spirit and based on our national unity and cohesion, the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity we are able to solve issues our republic faces and today we already have free, independent and harmoniously developing Artsakh.
I am confident that the coming year will be more efficient and we shall be able to secure continuous development of our country. The most reliable guarantee of that is the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic whose 20th anniversary we shall mark in 2012. The Defense Army has been and will always remain our pride and the main guarantor of Artsakh's security.
On this festive day I would like first of all to congratulate the families of our perished freedom-fighters, veterans, and the whole enlisted personnel of the Defense Army, those who stand in the trenches and defend the borders of our Fatherland.
I congratulate the world-spread Armenians, our sisters and brothers living in Armenia and the Diaspora.
Dear citizens of the Artsakh Republic,
I cordially congratulate all of you on the coming New Year and Christmas. I wish you robust health and happiness. Let the year 2012 be more successful and prosperous. Let it bring joy to our people, peace and welfare to our republic.
Stepanakert, December 31, 2011.
