STEPANAKERT. – The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army carries out regular military exercises, Defense Army Press Secretary Senor Hasratyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on Azerbaijani media allegations that “the Armenians are conducting exercises with the use of heavy artillery.”

“Along the lines of the annual plan, the Defense Army subdivisions carry out regular exercises toward raising combat-readiness,” Hasratyan stressed.

At the same time he refuted the Azerbaijani media suppositions in terms of Armenia’s Armed Forces’ participation in these drills.

“Solely the NKR Defense Army subdivisions have taken part in the exercises,” Senor Hasratyan stated.
