These days, the first meeting of the Board of the Artsakh Liberators’ Union took place. Issues on creating a permanent commission at the Board, planning its job, etc. were discussed at the meeting.
Recently, a conference of the Union took place, as a result of which NKR Minister of Defense, General-Lieutenant Seiran Ohanian was elected Chairman of the Union. Earlier, this post was held by ex-Deputy Defense Minister of NKR, General-Major Vitaly Balasanain, currently – Deputy of the NKR NA from the faction “Dashnaktsutiun-Movement-88”.
The Union Chairman noted at the meeting that it was necessary to create a youth branch of the Union, which would contribute to the consolidation of the Republic's young generation and its patriotic education. Issues related to the establishment of a Diploma and medal “Motherland’s Defender”, the status of an honorable member of the Union, as well as restoration of the TV program “Belief” were discussed.
