Armenian Defense Minister's press-secretary, Colonel Seyran Shakhsuvaryan told the ArmInfo News Agency that on the suggestion of Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in- Office, Armenian and Azeri Defense Ministers Serzh Sarkisyan and Safar Abiyev met in the Ijevan-Kazakh part of the Armenian-Azeri border.
The meeting was held within the framework of the events aimed at raising confidence between the sides. During the meeting, the Ministers discussed issues of mutual interest, particularly, the control over the border and maintenance of the armistice.
