ARTSAKH WAR VETERAN URGENTLY NEEDS
KIDNEY TRANSPLANT

Disabled Artsakh war veteran Mikhail Bakhtamian urgently needs a kidney transplant.  Bakhtamian suffered a head wound on the battlefield in 1994 and underwent surgery.  But chronic kidney failure followed in 1997 and despite a series of treatments in Yerevan, his condition has deteriorated seriously.  Doctors advise that a kidney transplant is critical.  The operation, which must be performed abroad, would cost approximately $70,000 U.S. dollars.  Bakhtamian's family cannot afford the cost of the medical procedure.
