Tax Policies & Investments

Radical changes in the taxation policy make it more flexible and create favorable business conditions for local and foreign investors. The enterprises previously privatized by foreign investors, such as Stepanakert Diary Plant, Stepanakert Carpet Factory, the Vank Wood Processing Plant, and Karabakh Telecom function and introduce technological progress and managerial experience to the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

The adoption of laws such as "On Foreign Investment" and "On Enterprises and Entrepreneurial Activity" contributed to a number of new joint venture enterprises. Dozens of well-respected companies from the United States, Canada, Russia, France, and Italy are present in NKR today. Investments are being made in grape production, winemaking, medicinal herb processing, meat, milk, various agricultural products, mining, jewelry production, and diamond polishing. Table of recent major investments.
